I Saw The Roses

I saw the roses
burning inside your eyes, wildly
with the aroma of desire, leaving its fragrance
a strange and irresistible potion, in the air

my heart stopped caring
with what my head was saying... anymore
pounding without reason... everywhere
the roses grow, in a show of your affection

this time I will promise to each petal that you wear
I will, gladly, trade all of them for imprints of your radiant lips
warm kisses on my skin, tattoos of love
bringers of the sweetest sin

I will unfold every one of your roses, to it's core,
leave you bare, to cover you with my arms, my unwritten songs
counting each note - if it was the last sunset
and each morning at your side - a forever thing
